AUTUMN COHORT

MotherCave

A 3-month circle for mothers rooted in creative expression, nature and community.

October - December 2026

An space for mothers to come together to create, reflect, remember ancient practices and dream our way towards unknown futures.

We begin in autumn, a time for harvest, release and reflection. Over 3 months we’ll follow the changing season of our outer and inner landscapes, explore old myths and personal stories, make things with our hands, spend time outdoors, share food, and reflect on the many dimensions of our motherhood journeys, all within a supportive circle of mothers.

What if, every month, you had a space to step away from the demands of caretaking to reconnect with yourself, and make room for creativity and nourishment within a supportive circle of other mothers?

This is the circle I wish I had as a new mother and the type of space I continue to crave. When I feel overwhelmed, burnt-out, or lost, making things with my hands, ritual, time in nature, talking with other mamas, and storytelling have helped me come home to myself.

My vision is a space to step away from the day to day, nourish our roots, give voice to all that is shifting within us, and reclaim old, old tools long carried by the mothers that have come before us. The cave is a place where we can go to renew ourselves, see our lives with new perspective, hold each other and fortify our hearts to keep loving and dreaming of the worlds we want for ourselves, our kin and those to come.

Gold leaf, 2025

“The circle was a place to quench a thirst I didn’t know I had. It was a container for some deep work I did know was waiting but needed community in order to begin it. It was like remembering a Self I’d long since put away.”

APPROACH

We are mothering in times of transition.

We are mothering through loneliness, global pandemics, school shootings, ecological loss, wars waged against children and families, times of unpredictable storms and wildfires. And a mother’s heart is a frontline, it always has been. In gathering, we strengthen our hearts to face the infinite task that is mothering. Here we find the softness needed to hold our tears and precious stories, here we can catch our breath and drink from an oasis of rest, laughter and joy in the good company of others.

For this kind of nourishment, we need more than just talking, we need our most ancient medicines: we need myths, we need creative expression, we need time outside to connect to the rhythms of nature, and most importantly, we need a devoted circle of caring companions to witness and support us along the way.

Creativity

We are all creative beings. That’s why humans have always turn to art, music, dreams, dance, stories, and song for expression and meaning-making. We often surprise and delight ourselves when we tune into these less-traveled channels. Each meeting will explore expression through different mediums such as clay, painting, SoulCollage®, journaling, movement and more. No art experience necessary.

Myth + storytelling

We’ll explore myths, folktales, archetypal stories, and the questions and maps they provide for us during the many seasons of mothering. Stories can become mirrors—giving new ways to see our own lives, transitions, relationships, challenges, and possibilities.

Nature

Set on 40+ acres of forest, pond, streams and woodlands, the changing seasons become part of our journey. We'll spend time outside, notice the landscape, work with natural materials, and cultivate a deeper relationship with the living world around us. In connecting with the wild web of life and more-than-human, we often find surprising collaborators and allies.

Collaboration

We'll gather with the same small circle of mothers throughout the three months. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself. Over time, building relationships, something different becomes possible: moving into a deeper quality of being witnessed, sharing honestly, learning and connection.

Play + Rest

A space to let go of getting things “right” or perfect, instead we opt for play and experimentation. A blend of guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect, so the experience feels both focused and emergent. Our time together will always include rest. It is a beautiful thing to see mamas rest, go slow and follow their desires/pleasure.
