MotherCircle

8 week series for mothers exploring their motherhood journey

This circle brings together mothers at all different phases of the journey.

The 8-week series is for mothers who want to understand the unseen parts of their motherhood journey - physically, sexually, emotionally, spiritually, and archetypally. Through the this experience mothers with reflect, share and deepen their awareness of their personal motherhood arc. We will use myth, small group shares, embodiment practices, journaling and more to move through these different aspects.

Who is this for?

It’s an intergenerational place for new mothers to be with grandmothers, expectant parents with those who have walked the motherhood journey for many miles, for those who have lost children or pregnancies, for anyone who identifies as a mother as well as people without children who tend and nurture young people and mothers in our community.

“Over these 8 weeks I realized that each of our journey's is so much richer when we share in a circle of support.”

“I loved the anticipation of what we would focus on the next week. The questions were inspired and thought provoking.”

The Circle

Together we build a world that nurtures mothers, their children, and those who come after. Together we build motherculture.

MotherCircle helps us remember the sacredness of our role, that we are not alone, we are part of a lineage that stretches to a time before memory. Together we have the chance to bring our threads together and weave a culture that holds mothers so they may rise up rooted in their vital role.

This MotherCircle model was developed by Kimberly Ann Johnson and Jessica Connolley to mend the threads of disconnection and build the world mothers want our children to belong to. Read more about the origin here.
